Bryan Angle, M.D.,
South Texas Retina Consultants is proud to welcome back Bryan Angle, MD, he is a fellowship-trained and board-certified vitreoretinal eye surgeon.
Dr. Angle was the Chief of Retina Services at both the University of Nebraska in Omaha and University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Dr. Angle is retired military where he spent 24 years on active duty in the United States Air Force including special duties as a solo ophthalmologist while deployed in Iraq. He worked at Brooks Air Force Base Aero-Medical Consult Services helping service members and civilian FFA and NASA aircrew who needed special ocular consideration to continue flying. He also participated in research to improve visual ergonomics in modern fighter and passenger aircraft.
Dr. Angle received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas and was trained in Ophthalmology at Wilford Hall USAF and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He completed his Retina Fellowship in Corpus Christi with Dr. Charles H. Campbell.
